Safflower has a long history as an agricultural crop and has been used since Biblical times. In your own kitchen, you'll find safflower oil being used as a healthy alternative in cooking oil, salad dressings and margarine. Now, you will find safflower Oleosomes in your bathroom as a breakthrough ingredient in lotions, body washes and other products.

Hydresia™ specifically consists of Oleosomes that are derived from safflower. Oleosomes are structures that have evolved in plants over millions of years to store oil and protect against dehydration, oxidization and deterioration. When added to products, you'll see Hydresia™ listed as Carthamus tinctorius (Safflower) Oleosomes on the label.

We also appreciate that for our product to be gentle, the process we use to extract it has to be too. That's why we do not use any solvents or chemicals to release the Oleosomes. Instead, we use a patented process that presses, spins and separates the Oleosomes from the seed.
